In this project I will build a color-sorting system that separates objects by color using infrared sensors. Infrared is effective at detecting dark and black surfaces that reflect differently than lighter colors. The system combines a conveyor feeder, sensor array, microcontroller, and actuators. It uses calibration and thresholds to classify items and trigger sorting into bins for downstream processing. Maintenance, testing, & guidelines added.
